How well do your Environmental Health Officers (EHO's) know the Motor Vehicle Repair (MVR) Industry?
There currently is a focus by authorities across the country on the MVR sector this is quite rightly a priority due to the very serious hazards encountered at both the roadside and in the garage itself.
As with all organisations there are strengths and weaknesses throughout their personnel and anecdotally it seems many EHO's have little experience of this specialist sector.
We have designed a course to address any knowledge gaps specifically aimed at the MVR sector, this will include:
Major hazards to look for
What training is available to the MVR sector
What are achievable standards
Dispelling myths (Clearing up confusion)
Practical demonstration (Chance to look around a real MVR workshop and ask questions)
Manual Handling insights (What is currently reasonably practicable)
Objectives of the course
Increased confidence on inspections
Understanding of the industry
Understanding of what training is available and where to get it
Duration and course capacity:
1/2 day class based and 1/2 day at a local MVR (Where possible) for industry specific hazard awareness training
Maximum 12-15 attendees
